Wanna It s What Not
I took an instant dislike to the title character, and the more I read, the less I liked him. It is easy to see the appeal to a certain age group: the kid is smart, he has resources, and he has his own private goon squad to sic on anyone who displeases him. The author has created a sociopathic little monster with the moral compass of a pit viper. Great role model for the younger set! Every once in a while, the author tries to insert something to make us like Artemis better. He loves his mommy – so have most of the serial killers in real life. Now and then he questions (sort of) what he is doing, then he goes ahead and does it anyways. His victims in the first book are the fairies, and I give the author credit for a nice take on the little people – I was rooting for them all the way. If it hadn’t been for this imaginative portrayal, I would have been looking for a way to give this book a negative star rating. The story is well written, which makes the subject matter even more appalling. I will not be purchasing any more books in the series.

No more .. of 20 Pk New
I contacted the company a number of times to ask about their products and was always responded to promptly, with accurate information, and politely. You can’t beat good customer service. It also makes me confident that on the off-chance I need help with their products, they’ll be there.
The scale itself is excellent. I waited until March 2010 to order so that I could get the refreshed version with “step on” technology. I know some reviews say it’s hard to turn on but with this updated feature, that’s no longer the case. You just step on it and it turns on and weighs you. This step on feature was previously only available on a different model which didn’t look as nice in my opinion. Couldn’t be more simple. Moreover, it’s aesthetically pleasing and appears to be well built. What else is there to say?
Simple, elegant, easy to use, and accurate.

So far no complaints at all.
Quality is good to take Hi-def video for an hour, for which I used.
Bought at Amazon at times where it was even cheapest to buy this.

Mad about Kool Bicycle Stop V
I have been very happy with this product. I have used it for running and biking and it works as advertised. I also took it on a recent trip back east and I loved being able to do a run anywhere and know accurately the distance and pace. I love all the stats it gathers and download to my Mac works great. I am preparing for a half marathon and I am finding it an invaluable tool for my training.

Catcher in the Rye is quite simply an American classic. Its approach is unintentionally timeless, as Holden, and those he encounters, are as believable as characters come. I’m amazed that even in this digital age, college students can so easily relate to Holden’s situation and the angst he feels towards the world. Everyone goes through it, and that is why so many people (of all ages) love this book.

Salinger’s catcher in the rye was shoved down so many of our throats as an adolescent, like so many others in that genre of so called ‘classics’ like Kill a Mockingbird and Lord of the Flies, The Great Gatsby, etc. It took me many re-readings of these so called greats after being able to read them on my own free will, and understand them in my own time, in my own environment, when I was motivated to read that particular subject in a situation that needed it in my life. However I will never fully understand or grasp the grand significance of such a work of fiction, used still in many frosh classes even in the most prestigious of schools, where in today’s market, Rowling’s epic worlds are filled with enough word salad for literature professeurs to salivate over. I found the writing trite, unmotivating, and save the lack of a better word, pretty boring. I remember reading the inserts on ‘A Seperate Piece’ and one of the reviewers called the book one of the most disturbing endings in literature. I still laugh today about that, as I thought A Seperate Piece was excrement, and compare them both to the overhauling of American so-called classics.
Salinger’s book is never a recommendation to any youth that crosses my path. I’d much rather place in their grasp ‘On the Road,’ ‘Farewell To Arms’ or Henry Miller, or a more modern touch of ‘A Perks of Being a Wallflower’ or ‘Everything is Illuminated’, rather than the disgustingly and unnecessarily warranted kudos this book continues to achieve.
