My Ford F-350 did not have an acceptable place for mounting my GPS in order to use the suction mount provided with the unit. There was not even a good place for placing the adhesive disc provided for dash mounting the unit. In some States it is not legal to mount a GPS on your windshield. I purchased a Garmin Portable Friction Mount and the problem was solved. On the highway my GPS stays exactly where I want it and it does not obscure the view through my windshield at all. The 12 volt power cord is sufficiently long to route the cord under my dashboard cover. If you have a problem finding a good place to mount your Garmin GPS this item will solve your problem. It works for me and the price is right.

This router seems to work good so far, the wired connections and the wireless seem to be running faster. The install cd will not work on 64 bit systems so be forewarned (since this is newly introduced I am surprised it doesn’t work with the 64 bit). I had trouble installing it at first, my main computer is 64 bit so I tried another wired computer and it couldn’t find the signal at all. So I did the web address http://192.168.1.1 and it could see my network but wouldn’t connect to the internet so I had to do a reset of my cable modem and when it got done flashing it’s lights I was connected. It would have been nice to have some written instructions with this, it is to all be on the cd. Luckily I had printed some information before I tried to install this.
I wish it was easier to do the security stuff also, I am new to this stuff and I have to search a lot for how to set up the security, print out pages.. I live in an area that isn’t heavily populated so I can get away with the WPA security which seems to be the easiest to set up. It take a few minutes for the router to connect to the internet also if you pause the cable modem then come back and want online again, my other one was almost instant. So far I haven’t experienced any dropped connections but I haven’t had it long either (that was the problem I had with my other one).
I have tried about 3 or 4 new linksys routers lately and just couldn’t get them to connect to the internet at all, at least with this one I was able to get connected to the internet without too much trouble.
For those newbies out there like me try resetting you cable modem if you can’t get connected to the internet, I learned that in trying to get the linksys to work but even that trick didn’t do the job with them?
This is a little pricey but it seems to deliver the speed and the install isn’t too bad so to me it is worth it.
Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700 Dual

First of all before you cry in the comments this is meant to be a rant about apple being full of it.

It’s a good product itself, although I could take a sledgehammer to my iPod nano 3g and not even get a scratch (this is serious, the screen was nearly bulletproof). I gave this to a friend after a while because of apple’s full-of-it-ness.

Story, first 3 months, fine.
Then it had weird charging patterns where it would cut out when you touched it lightly. Thought nothing of it, blew it out, moved on.
Kept doing it, looked in it, one of the charging pins was bent. Thought “OK Apple should fix this because it’s clearly a defect in their product”. Set up a store meeting at apple’s website. Product is only 4 months into its 1 year warranty.

Went in the next day, they told me “OH you must have done that yourself, give us $120 and it’s yours!” YEAH THE HELL RIGHT, I paid $170 for this.. This is just unbelievable, one of my friends had the iPod touch battery go to nearly zero capacity a week after he bought it NEW here and they said “Well if you give us $70 we’ll fix it.” Who can honestly say this is not total crap?

Seriously Apple, change your damn attitude or no one will buy your stuff except the fanboys out there.

Great price on amazon.com . Better price than on [...] . Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 does a decent job. Nice software for college students. I would recommend this software to buy on amazon.com and enjoy.

The omron pedometer is the best I have used. It is accurate and does not count every jiggle. This is the second one I have bought. The first one lasted for several years.
Power Rangers Stylized Ranger

Seems to work as advertised. Had a chance to use it for the first time today. I didn’t have the pace problem some were talking about. I slowed down, the mile pace got longer; I kicked it up a notch, the mile pace reduced. My only complaint so far is the map used in the software. Cool that it marks your map but the map is as bad as it could get. Very little detail with few roads–only major major roads. But, a few extra clicks and you can see where you ran on Google Earth. We’ll see how it goes after a few months of use. Talk to you then.

Not sure who is writing up the product descriptions but the 5018 is 12mm chain (which equals 4/9″)… it still carries a 5+ rating from OnGuard(its highest rating) but if you require the 14mm (5/9″) chain X 160mm (63″)in length then you need the 5016L which also carries 5+ Star rating. Not sure 2mm would be worth the extra weight and probably would not provide anymore protection (1 minute more with the hacksaw?). I have not had this long enough to truly give it a complete testing but I live in Central Asia and if they can steal anything they will…give me a few more months and I will edit this review but so far so good. The best is it “looks” like a monster to even attempt to cut/break/steal and that is half the battle. Get real folks, there is not a lock that cannot be opened by a crook – so – the best you can do is realize that all a lock can do is keep the “honest man honest” and slow the real crooks down. This lock is for use some place where you are not going to give them TIME to break it. I use this when I run to the store and am inside for 15 minutes (maximum 20) or less because I feel it would take them that long to see the bike, get tools and set to work on it. I use a simple cable lock when I am at work (OnGuard 5030) as work has security guards and they all know me and my bike. Rick

What you take from this book depends mostly on the type of person you are.

If you spend your life shaking your head at what others around you are doing “wrong”, while internally applauding your own goodness…if you subscribe to narrow-minded views which you call “the Word of God” but which really serve to spread hate and fear against things you don’t understand or which really aren’t any of your business in the first place…if you’ve spent your life denying yourself the joy which could have been yours in favor of doing what you were taught was “right”…if you have ignored the fact that it has been proven and recorded in history that the Bible was originally composed of much more than we know today, but due to man’s corruption (and fear of loss of power over those they ruled) was edited according to man’s agenda…Yeah, you hate this book because you feel as though you’ve been insulted. You will fixate on the fact that it states that there is no heaven or hell, no devil, no damnation. No vengeful, wrathful God to punish those wrongdoers around you. That everything you hung your hopes on isn’t real. After all, this is the God you’ve lived your life thinking you knew, and you’re probably afraid to think beyond that. That’s a shame, because you’re missing the point entirely.

Meanwhile, if you want to live a life of love, joy and peace…if you already believed prior to reading this that there must be more to life than what you see around you with your human eyes…if you already believed that we are all one, and that we are all a part of God, and that we are all meant for more than what we have been taught we are worth, that we are NOT naturally sinful or shameful, that we are all gifted with God’s love regardless of what we do, that we are perfect creations which make bad choices…you’ll love this book as I do, and you’ll refer back to it frequently as I do in order to reinforce the ideas and make them a part of your heart.
